Paved courtyard for outdoor activities.

Other side of the courtyard.

Children using the courtyard to do songs with movement. One of the children appeared to have a lazy eye. I did not detect any other signs of disability. I wonder what medical care is like for these families.

I am in the red shirt by the left wall doing the motions with the teacher and children.

More dancing. The children enjoyed a variety of songs.

I had no clue what they were singing about, but I enjoyed moving with the children.

After the songs, they went inside for activities.

One of the play areas.

Another play area and reading area.

All the children have to bring their own drinks.

Room where children could play homemade games.

Homemade decorations cover the walls.

Tables, chairs, and stools are available to accommodate a large number of children. I think they take up to 30 children.

These children are documenting the growth of their plants by drawing pictures.

The children each have a pocket to hold their papers they have made or colored.

After the play group, we returned to BNU for discussions about similarities and differences between China's schools and the U.S. schools. These two pictures are of our group teaching the BNU students the song "The More We Get Together" with sign language.

Our group with the BNU students.

The students thanked us for meeting with them by making us each a folded paper item. I received this pink rose.
