After breakfast, I took the girls to daycare and started packing. I got everything into my suitcase and realized that while I’d made a list of what I needed to bring, I’d never counted to see if I had enough socks and undies to make it through the whole trip without doing laundry. I also realized that the power converter I’d bought was only 2 prong and I needed 3 prong for my laptop, and I still needed to buy a phone cover. Once I got all the laundry done, I ran errands and finished packing.
I picked the girls up from daycare and we went to Pizza Hut for dinner. As we were finishing dinner, I reminded the girls that I was taking them to their dad’s, then I was picking up Carrie, then we were driving to Grandma and Grandpa’s house, and then Grandpa would drive us to the airport while they were still sleeping. Maggie, my 3 year old, asked me where Carrie lived. Before I could answer, Maggie asked me if Carrie lived in Lincoln. I said yes and Maggie exclaimed, “She lives in Lincoln, just like us?!” Amazing that we could live in the same city J
The drive to Yutan went smoothly and we visited with my mom until 10 pm. I laid in bed until 11 pm unable to sleep and playing with my phone. When I did fall asleep, I woke up every couple of hours. I intended to get up at 3:30 am, but I was up at 3 am. Dad had Carrie and I to the airport at 4:45 am.
